Every new shelter dog we take in has boarding and caretaker expenses, but medical bills are by far our biggest cost.
Cockers as a breed are prone to chronic medical problems and because of this, many are ending up in the shelters due to no fault of their own. The major medical dogs we take in often come to us after the larger and more well funded organizations are taking a pass on them.
Monthly donors also help us to make quick decisions when faced with shelter dogs that we'd like to save. Knowing we can count on the same donation every month helps us to rescue extra dogs.
Make a one time donation or become a monthly donor and save a life!
No donation is too small to help keep our struggling rescue group afloat. Sadly, the economy has created a situation where adoptions are down, donations are down and yet the shelters are more packed than ever with animals in need. Please help to spread the woof for us!
We know that everyone is struggling right now and we want you to know that even just the smallest monthly donation can make a difference! We have several monthly donors whom donate $5 a month and that adds up.
Camp Cocker Rescue operates under the 501c3 of Katrina Dog Rescue, Tax ID #20-8687566. Katrina Dog Rescue was inspired by and formed shortly after Cathy returned from volunteering in New Orleans.
Since then, we focused in on a single breed (inspired by Katrina Muffin, a blind cocker rescued from Hurricane Katrina), hence how the Camp Cocker name came about.
Or if you prefer to donate by check, please make it out to Katrina Dog Rescue (c/o Cathy Stanley) 14320 Ventura Blvd., #236 Sherman Oaks, CA 91423
We are in need of donations to help with boarding and medical!
