FOSPICE DOGS

These are doggies we've rescued that are either senior or special needs and unlikely to ever find adoption. We call them "fospice" doggies because it is a hybrid of a foster home and a hospice home (in some cases, the dogs could live another year or two so they are more of a foster situation). Camp Cocker pays for medical bills and the fospice parent pays for food and grooming and other incidentals as needed. It can be a very rewarding experience to take a fospice doggie into your home and the types of people who do best at this are people with care-taking and nurturing tendencies. If you are interested in becoming a fospice parent to the next special needs or senior dog we rescue, please contact us! (or fill out a foster application on our website and state that you specifically are interested in fospice). It is nice for the dogs as they don't have to keep moving around and to that dog, you are their forever home for as long as they have left to live.
