WELCOME, PUPPIES!!!!!

COOKIE and her five male puppies were rescued late Wednesday afternoon, June 21, from the Los Angeles North Central Animal Shelter. The call was urgent:

“This mama and her babies came to us on June 19th, when we received a call for a dog and babies under a dumpster behind the dental office. One of our officers went out and got the whole family!”

“Since being with us, mama (Cookie) has been keeping a close eye on her babies, and taking real good care of them! But the shelter is not the place to house teeny little bebes or a new mama dog. Let's get this small little fluffy family OUT of the shelter!!”

Camp Cocker answered the urgent call, and was on the way immediately! Mama and babies are now on their way to our vet this evening for thorough exams and any care they may need.

The shelter told us that Cookie is 3 years old, a nursing mama, and weighs 10.3 pounds. They also added that she is a “good mama!” They estimate that the puppies were born on about June 16, 2023.

We’ll be taking many more photos & videos to share here on Cookie’s Puppies’ webpages, and on our social media. Check in frequently for updates! They won’t be ready for adoption for a little while, but we can all enjoy watching the puppies grow in the meantime.
