Teddy the bear . . . get well soon!

Oh Teddy . . . we know you don't feel good, yet you still roll over for a belly rub? We can't wait for you to be finished with your two surgeries and feeling pain free soon! Dr. Olds says he is going to wait two more weeks for Teddy's left ear to heal (from the skin graft on the fourth degree burn on the exterior of that ear) before doing the left ear canal. At that point he will go in and do a second surgery to do the modified ear ablation. We don't know at this time if Teddy has any hearing left at all but we are hoping that once both ear canals are done and healed up that he might show signs of hearing a little? We are very anxious to know if Teddy is living in a deaf world . . . hoping and crossing the paws there is a little hearing left that can be saved through the modified ear ablation rather than a full ear ablation. Thank you to Dr. Olds for taking such good care of Teddy! And thank you to the Hogan Foundation for helping with a portion of his medical! Teddy - you were not very lucky in your former life, but now you are in good hands so your luck is about to change. We know someone out there is going to see your face and fall head over heels in love with you and tell us they want to adopt a hearing impaired boy who loves his belly rubs! If you double click on the picture below, you can see what his left ear looks like. Ouch!

I hope he gets well soon! Has he already been adopted?

I'm surprised they didn't completely shave his ears; inside and out.
