Maddy the mer-mer-maid and busy as bumble bees!

Maddy begins swim therapy again!

More video of Maddy swimming

You can really see her rear legs kicking here, you go Maddy!

Maddy wants to show off for you how good of a swimmer she is!

Maddy made her trip up to Washington State on Monday morning, with Camp Cocker volunteer, Tracey and Linda and Mickey our volunteer pilots. Maddy was calm and relaxed the whole way there and she enjoyed getting out and beginning her new adventure.

Elaine is fostering Maddy right now and she took Maddy to her first swim therapy this week at K9 Lap of Luxury where Maddy did really well for her first time swimming in a few months. We need to raise funds to reimburse our pilots, for the fuel for flying Maddy up there. They were so generous with donating their plane and their time. Thank you to Elaine who paid for a very beautiful hotel room for our volunteers and also for giving Maddy this wonderful opportunity. Maddy has already made herself at home in Elaine's house and is walking on the carpeted areas and getting to know her way around. We think this is going to be such a positive adventure for Maddy to get a change in routine and have some new experiences.

Maddy on her travels Monday. That is Tracey holding Maddy at the airport in Washington State. And Maddy meets her two new "roomies", Molly the English Cocker Spaniel and Jones the Golden Retriever. That is Maddy passed out on the dog bed at Elaine's house after a very long day!

It has been a bizzy dizzy week for us! Monday and Tuesday Cathy was gone, driving some senior dogs up to Muttville in San Francisco (thank you to Sherri from Muttville for making room for Mocha and Snickers!). Wednesday and Thursday was trying to play catch up, cramming four days worth of day job work and rescue work into two days.

Flash just lost his foster home and Bunny lost her foster home last week so we are really truly in need of quality reliable ongoing foster homes. We just can't take in any more new dogs until we get more foster homes. Please spread the word to everyone you know and ask them to please fill out an online application if they are interested in fostering. Izzy was well enough to leave the vet today. Brady and Eli came home from the vet yesterday and are recovering from their cherry eye surgeries. Penny came home from the vet and is on the mend, although after much testing and an ultrasound and a biopsy on her liver, things were ruled out, but the diagnosis was not really discovered. We are happy she is out of the hospital and on the mend. Hang in there Penny, you old gal!

Some big news is about to be announced . . . so stay tuned!

Maddy is showing so much improvement with her swim sessions. You can really see that so much is being done to her hind legs whenever she does swim routine.

We have a Woof O Pedic Bed for Maddie to use. This bed will help her give the needed support for her hind legs. Also, we also have a Jeep Brand dog stroller for her to use.
What a beautiful girl Maddy is. Great pictures. It's so nice to read nice stuff that happens to animals. Thanks - you made my day!

What a surprise! I love k9 Lap of Luxury. I bring my dogs there for swimming and boarding. I've been watching Maddy's story for a long time, and so I had to laugh when I saw she is so close to my home now. I really hope that great girl gets adopted. I would love to adopt Maddy if I didn't rent and own two dogs already!
