accidentally in love
Sunday, June 13, 2010 at 03:01PM Teddy has a new wifey!
Bunny lost her foster home and she has been in boarding at our vet, the same place Teddy has been staying. Well, they got full this past week and had to put Bunny in to share Teddy's kennel. As it turns out, they are becoming fast friends and snuggle together and share the same bed. We didn't know either one was looking to fall in love, but just when you least expect it? Oh boy, what are we going to do now? We already have Bert and Ernie, a bonded pair that is having a hard time getting a home together. Do we keep Bunny and Teddy together as a pair as well? It really is sweet, what is going on between them. Awwwww, young love . . .
Duncan's paw hurts!
Duncan began limping and we took him to the vet who discovered he has a growth between the pads of his paw. Poor Duncan! They soaked it and cleaned it up, bandaged it and began anti-biotics (this was yesterday, a Saturday). Tomorrow, Monday when the surgeon comes in, we need to make an appt. to bring Duncan in for some local anesthesia and removal of the growth. Oh Duncan, we love you so much and can't wait for you to get that yucky growth removed and be on the mend soon. Duncan is still waiting and longing for a home of his very own, but Camp Cocker Fran and her husband Bob are fostering Duncan until that special adopter comes along. Thank you Fran and Bob, for all of the dogs you have fostered for Camp Cocker and always saving one spot at your house as a safe haven for dogs like Duncan.
We have vet bills from May that we need to pay off, any donation in any amount is greatly appreciated! Can you lend Duncan a helping paw?
Slumber party with Stuart!
In her travels to the bay area last week, Cathy was lucky enough to get the best accommodations ever! Spending the night at Monica and Stuart's home. Thank you to Monica and Stuart, for being the hostess and host with the mostest and most! (that is Monica holding Stuart on the bottom row left and Cathy holding Stuart on the bottom row right) Click here if you want to read more about the amazing Stuart and watch his videos - you will soon become a F.O.S. (Fan of Stuart).
Calling all friends!

Are you a friend of Camp Cocker? C'mon, lend a paw, easy to do, it really is! Our goal is to reach one thousand monthly donors and since we've started asking for friends, we've gotten 29 so far! Yaay! We know we have some humble beginnings here while we are still a small rescue and our goal is large, but we know we can do it. We have faith in all of you. Please help spread the love and spread the woof and tell everyone you know. Just give up a cup of frothy coffee once a month and donate $3? We understand the economy is hurting everyone, so we just want to ask you all for a small monthly donation, whatever is in your budget. It is going to take a village of you, of all of us together, but we can do it. Become a Friend of Camp Cocker for as little as $3 a month! Each of us can't do it all by ourselves, but all of us together, we can make a difference, one cherry-eyed, injured paw, ear surgery, broken legged wiggle butt at a time.
