oops . . . rescuing wiggle butts runs up vet bills!
Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 09:50PM Camp Cocker has just rescued yet another dog from the 300 animals confiscated by animal control from the Aqua Dulce, CA animal hoarder. This hoarder was being supplied with animals by many other "rescue" groups. There is a new breed of what we call "reckless rescues", who don't do home checks or vet reference checks or follow ups on what becomes of their dogs. Their only goal is to get a dog out of shelter and give it to anyone who wants it and they collect donations and tell the general public they are "rescuing" dogs. Below is one of the dogs that Camp Cocker had to really rescue, after he was removed from the animal hoarder. His shelter name was Luigi, but we are giving him a fresh start and are now calling him Mister Peanut! We are trying to raise funds for Mister Peanut who needs quite a bit of work and at the same time, our vet debt from Sept. 1st to today, is now due. Please share and forward on to everyone we know, to help us get caught up. Welcome to Camp Cocker Mister Peanut!
WARNING: please be careful of fraud being committed online using ChipIn. Unless you see a ChipIn being promoted on a legitimate website for a legitimate charity, do not give them your money. There are many people who are circulating ChipIns on Facebook and saying it is for animal rescue when really it is just to make money preying on unsuspecting animal lovers. If a ChipIn is not connected to a legitimate charity, be careful!
