here they are . . . Shaggy and Sampson on The Dr. Phil Show!

Dr. Phil did a show where he confronts animal abusers - a must see for anyone who supports animal rights. Near the end of the show, Dr. Phil highlights animal rescue and promoting adoption. Paris Hilton walked out on stage with you-know-who! That's right, our gorgeous bonded pair of boys, Shaggy and Sampson. As it turns out, since the taping of the show, Shaggy and Sampson found a lovely pair of adopters who went through great efforts to adopt them. The adoption became official just hours before the show airs. But that's okay, we are hoping that the boys will enjoy their fifteen seconds of fame and that perhaps anyone who visits our website looking to adopt them, might consider our other bonded pair of dogs, Ernie and Bert? There is no shortage of really nice dogs that need homes!

We want to thank Dr. Phil and his staff for inviting Shaggy and Sampson to appear and even more importantly, for promoting animal rescue and telling his audience how rewarding it can be to adopt a rescued dog (we love his dog, Maggie, so cute!). Also, thank you so much to Suzanne from Trinkets and Treasures in Studio City, for all that she has done for Shaggy and Sampson. She has been integral in helping to spread the word that they needed to find a home together. And now Suzanne's hard work has paid off. We could not be happier for Shaggy and Sampson. Below is a picture taken moments after their adoption today. Their new mom and dad, their new doggie grandma, their grandma's cousin, Suzanne, Rena their foster mom, Brenda their dog walking friend and Victoria their dog walking friend (not all in that order). These dogs are SO loved by so many people!

For anyone whom may not have known Shaggy and Sampson's story, here is a video below that will tell you why they have meant so much to so many people. You will understand why we really wanted them to find the best home ever, that would keep them together as a pair. Grab your kleenex wiggle butt lovers, because now that you know the story ends happily, some wet stuff might start rolling down your face. This is for you John . . . this is for you.

Shaggy and Sampson get their 15 seconds of fame!

Shaggy and Sampson had a great big adventure today! They got to go to the Paramount Pictures studio lot and make a brief appearance on The Dr. Phil show. The show will not air until sometime in May but stay tuned, we will let you all know so you can set your Tivos to catch a glimpse of this gorgeous duo on their television debut. They were SO well behaved today, no barking, no potty accidents while we were waiting back stage. They greeted everyone with wags and wiggle wiggles and they even jumped into a golf cart with a passerby hoping to get a ride. They could not have been more perfect. You will notice in the background of the picture on the right, the studio backlot buildings. We do hope they will get adopted by the time the show airs - they are really needing to find their forever home asap. Thank you to Suzanne and her ladies from Trinkets and Treasures in Studio City, who helped to set this up and went with to lend some helping paws. Thank you to Bijou Pet Spa in Sherman Oaks for doing such a good job grooming the boys. Thank you to the celebrity guest who walked Shaggy and Sampson out on stage today and said some nice words about them (ssshhhh, we can't say who it is, you will just have to wait to see the show when it airs). And of course, thank you to Dr. Phil and staff for inviting Shaggy and Sampson to show their wiggle butts on tv and for supporting animal rescue!
