Mr Rogers was unfortunately left in an Over-Night Relinquishment Box that the Riverside Animal Shelter provides for "after hours" drop-offs. Perhaps the owners did not want to show their faces as they surrendered this dog in such a condition. The left side of his body had dried blood and his left ear had a wound so ulcerated we gasped upon seeing it for the first time.

What we know about Mr. Rogers so far:

  • His surgeries went VERY WELL! ----. Please help us with his surgery and biopsies by donating below!
  • Cancer- free and HOUSE TRAINED!! omg yay!
  • Starting on Dasuquin joint supplements for mobility
  • He is a gentle gentleman! He takes treats so gently!
  • He has such a kind face and big beautiful eyes!
  • He could be around 9 years old.?
  • He gets very excited about car rides and is a total monkey man! Crate or harness in car is a must!
  • He has been neutered and received a dental (no extractions) -  Please Help us with our medical bills so we can rescue another!

We rely 100% on all of our support in the form of small donations. We run on $5 donations and volunteers! Please consider donating just $5 so we can get on top of our mounting medical bills so we can rescue more cockers in dire straits.

We always need foster homes to house our dogs because we do not have a facility. Our dogs stay in boarding until we can find a foster home or a forever home. Boarding is no place for an older fella! If you are interested in being an essential part of our rescue, please click below for more information:

One of our AMAZING supporters mailed Mr. Rogers a new blanket AND a plush orange bone (that he walks around the vet's office with in his mouth all day)
