Alfie

Adopted JANUARY 2024!

Alfie’s Story:

Adorable baby Alfie was rescued from the North Central animal shelter at around 10 weeks of age. In January 2024, he and his six littermates were dropped off at the shelter in a laundry basket by someone claiming they didn't know who or where the parents were. The shelter immediately reached out to Camp Cocker to ask if we could take them; of course we said yes! Suspected to be a cockapoo mix, these precious pups are all so sweet and playful! Handsome boy Alfie was the first of the litter to get adopted.

His new parents tell us that Alfie was a trooper for the entire car ride from Los Angeles, CA to their home in Nevada. His new dog brother, Rocko, kept him calm and definitely seems to approve of his new little brother. The two are quickly becoming best friends and Rocko, who is a 6-year-old cockapoo, happily shares all of his toys with Alfie! Their parents look forward to having another dog to take on fun hiking adventures and road trips, especially to the snow. As responsible pet parents, they never let the dogs off leash in public, but sometimes use a 20’ leash to allow them to safely run around in open spaces.

Alfie is one happy puppy and his family is thrilled that he is adjusting so well. He enjoys being carried around in his bag when they’re doing house chores - the easiest way to keep an eye on a puppy, lol! He is their little shadow and loves to give many kisses. He also likes to lay in front of the glass door and sunbathe, and enjoys collecting all the toys by his bed and then taking a snooze. He tried banana for the first time and his reaction was adorable. They can't wait for him to try more fruits and veggies, and are excited to witness all of Alfie’s first experiences of everything!
