Barry

Adopted MAY 2022!

Barry’s Story:

Handsome Barry was born in the care of Camp Cocker Rescue on March 13, 2022. His mother, Trixie, had been rescued from the SEACCA Shelter in Downey, CA just five days before giving birth to Barry and his four siblings. Your guess is as good as ours what breed their father was, but the pups were fairly big considering Trixie was a tiny 11 pound terrier. She had a smooth delivery, though, and was a wonderful mommy to Barry, Hunter, Amelia, Lola, and Polly!

Now named Rumi, his mom is madly in love with him. He is getting bigger every day and has been doing really well in his new home! He enjoys exploring San Francisco with his mom and especially loves riding in the little pouch she carries him around in. The two enjoy short hikes by the Pacific and Barry is loving all of the new smells! He even gets to go on bike rides with her inside of a little backpack. They are currently working on crate training, as Barry loves to hang out and collect his toys in there, but doesn’t like it when the door is closed at any point. He likes to be near Mommy!

This sweet puppy loves to snuggle and has such a sweet demeanor. He has a ton of fun playing with his doggy cousin, Nugget, who was adopted from Camp Cocker Rescue in 2021! Nugget has helped Rumi become more confident in new situations and Rumi has shown Nugget some tricks of his own, like stealing Mom’s slippers in order to get her attention. Rumi’s entire family is quite smitten with the little 12 pound cutie and his grandma even knit him some little booties to wear in the cold. It doesn’t get much cuter than this precious family.
