Berry

Adopted OCTOBER 2022!

Berry’s Story:

This cutie was rescued from Busan, South Korea in October 2022, thanks to our rescue partners known as the Cocker Moms. This sweet little girl was estimated to be 4-6 years of age. Berry had long, neglected fur and was in desperate need of a bath and haircut. At one point, Berry developed Pyometra and had to have an immediate spay surgery. She had also been treated for heartworm and was a little on the chubby side. Thankfully, with a healthy diet and plenty of exercise, beautiful Berry was able to lose some of the excess weight and is now living a happier, healthier life.

Now known as Riley, and living in Northern California, this sweet little cocker spaniel is filling her family’s days with smile after smile. They tell us that Riley is such a good girl and immediately became a member of the family! She picked up on her new name quickly and is very intuitive about what they’d like her to do. She has even been very respectful of her new kitty sister, Gracie. There are lots of fun new smells for her to investigate in her new home and neighborhood, and her parents are being extra cautious with her around the swimming pool since it’s too cold for swimming this time of year. Riley is never in the backyard unattended.

Riley’s parents remain diligent about her diet in an effort to get her down to her ideal body condition. They tell us that she loves playing with multiple toys, but her real obsession is socks! They can usually distract her with other toys, though, when they need the socks back. Riley is thoroughly enjoying her new life, especially snuggling with her doting dads.
