WELCOME TO AMERICA BOWIE!

Bowie is a Freedom Flyer from South Korea. Bowie was rescued from a South Korean shelter by our rescue partners, Korean K9 Rescue.

6/21/23 GOOD NEWS UPDATE: Bowie (treated in March for heartworm infection) has tested NEGATIVE for heartworm!

  • Bowie is a very handsome buff-colored Cocker Spaniel, estimated* to be about 3-5 years old. He weighs 23 pounds.

  • He’s sweet, active, silly, energetic & curious. His full tail is always wagging!

  • Bowie is extremely friendly with other people and around other dogs.

  • He’s very food motivated.

  • He does have trouble with potty training, he still has accidents inside but he has been going potty on the grass whenever the door to the back yard is open.

  • Belly bands are helpful!

  • He doesn’t bark much (unless he hears a strange noise).

  • He does okay on the leash (sometimes pulls or gets distracted).

  • He loves to play with toy balls and squeaky toys.

  • He does jump on you when he’s very excited.

  • He does very well with baths. He barks at our cat, and will chase her.

  • Bowie has a condition called dry eye in his left eye. He is on dry-eye medication and will need to receive medicated eye drops daily for the rest of his life.

*Please note that any age provided is only an estimate, based on veterinary examination!

Bowie is being cared for in the Los Angeles area.
