WELCOME TO AMERICA BOWIE!
Bowie is a Freedom Flyer from South Korea. Bowie was rescued from a South Korean shelter by our rescue partners, Korean K9 Rescue.
6/21/23 GOOD NEWS UPDATE: Bowie (treated in March for heartworm infection) has tested NEGATIVE for heartworm!
Bowie is a very handsome buff-colored Cocker Spaniel, estimated* to be about 3-5 years old. He weighs 23 pounds.
He’s sweet, active, silly, energetic & curious. His full tail is always wagging!
Bowie is extremely friendly with other people and around other dogs.
He’s very food motivated.
He does have trouble with potty training, he still has accidents inside but he has been going potty on the grass whenever the door to the back yard is open.
Belly bands are helpful!
He doesn’t bark much (unless he hears a strange noise).
He does okay on the leash (sometimes pulls or gets distracted).
He loves to play with toy balls and squeaky toys.
He does jump on you when he’s very excited.
He does very well with baths. He barks at our cat, and will chase her.
Bowie has a condition called dry eye in his left eye. He is on dry-eye medication and will need to receive medicated eye drops daily for the rest of his life.

Bowie is being cared for in the Los Angeles area.
