Bowie

Adopted SEPTEMBER 2023!

Bowie’s Story:

Rescued in April of 2023 at approximately 3-5 years of age, this cutie flew to America from South Korea with another dog, named David, whom we believe is his brother. They had been rescued from a shelter by our rescue partners at Korean K9 Rescue. Bowie was underweight and he had heartworm. Although, he’d been treated for the heartworm in S. Korea, Bowie was still testing positive after his arrival here and needed another treatment. He finally tested negative in June and also gained some necessary weight. Because he has dry eye in his left eye, he will need daily eye drops for life; otherwise, he is a happy and healthy puppy monkey! He’s extremely sweet with people and loves playing with other dogs. Bowie’s not a big fan of cats, though, and really wants to chase and bark at them.

Bowie’s new parents tell us that he is doing great and they’re so happy to have him! He is settling into a routine at their house (with no kitties in sight!) and enjoying walks around the neighborhood. He also enjoys playing with balls and squeaky toys. The family traveled to Tahoe for their first trip together and Bowie had the best time! He loves to adventure with them. They are still working on his potty training, but we know he’ll get there!
