Brownie

Adopted NOVEMBER 2022!

Brownie’s Story:

At about seven years of age, this sweet chocolate cocker spaniel was rescued from a puppy mill in South Korea. The filthy caged conditions these dogs had been suffering in would also be common for an American puppy mill, this one just happened to be in Korea. Brownie flew to America in November 2022 as part of our Freedom Flight program and was the first of the eleven puppy mill dogs that we’d committed to who was adopted. He was very sweet and loving with everyone he met and had a nice, calm energy. He appeared to have never been bathed and had an abscess in one of his nail beds that was infected and very painful, but with antibiotics and a good grooming, he was as good as new in no time.

Now known as Hershey, he is doing very well in his new home. His family says he is a sweet and curious boy and loves to smell everything! He is definitely food motivated and can eat a lot if they let him. They are cooking his food and following a recommended diet for weight loss, as he needs to lose a few pounds to get to a healthy weight. Hershey is getting used to his new home and his mom can only imagine how free he must feel. He likes to burrow his head into spaces, like when her daughter is sitting with him. They are working on potty training and teaching him the English language!
