Buffy

Adopted AUGUST 2023!

Buffy’s Story:

Beautiful Buffy joined Camp Cocker in July 2023, rescued from Mongolia after she had wandered onto a local bus there. Between 2-5 years of age, she has a grade 1 heart murmur and scar tissue on the side of her neck from some sort of previous trauma; otherwise, this stunning cocker spaniel is just the perfect little dog! She’s extremely friendly, affectionate, playful and smart. She enjoys playing with toys and balls and makes the funnest sounds while she does so! Buffy already knew how to sit and give her paw on command, and we were shocked to learn that she was fully house-trained, as well.

Now residing in Michigan and lovingly renamed Nana, she is living her best possible life! She and her new family enjoy taking long, scenic walks through the woods and visiting nearby lakes. Nana is very excited about all of the nature around her new home and her family is working with her on leash-pulling. This energetic girl likes playing in the water and even enjoys her bath time. She “discovered” their pool thanks to a floating flower that she really wanted to get.. thankfully she swims great and can easily find her way to the stairs!

Nana would love for her family to pet her constantly - she regularly gives little nudges requesting more attention - but she is patient enough to know that at some point they have other things to do. They tell us that Nana acts like she has always been a part of their family and they’re amazed at how quickly she bonded with them. She’s a very fast learner, has shown no signs of anxiety, and is such a good girl!

From Nana’s adopters: “She is amazing… She is really a special dog.
