Butterscotch

Adopted AUGUST 2023!

Butterscotch’s Story:

Butterscotch was rescued from the North Central Animal Shelter in June 2023, along with his 11-pound mother, Cookie, and four siblings. The family had been discovered under a dumpster behind a dental office. Butterscotch and his brothers, Chip, Graham, Peanut and Walnut were only a few days old at the time. Cookie was such a good mama to them! A DNA test done on his brother, Peanut (whom he closely resembles), revealed that he is likely part toy poodle, shih tzu, maltese, and quite a few other breeds! Butterscotch and Peanut had a different father than the other three puppies, who were quite fluffy and had different DNA results. Little Butterscotch was the only solid white pup in the bunch.

Butterscotch’s new family say he has adapted very well and is an amazing addition to their lives. He’s a smart and active boy. He loves to fetch the ball, chew on his toys, and lay flat on the cold tile floor. He sleeps well through the night (just waking up once for a potty break on his potty pad) and is getting settled into his new routine. He doesn’t even cry or bark when they leave the house anymore! As much as having a young dog is hard work, he’s such a sweet little boy and they’re loving having a puppy.

From Butterscotch’s adopters: “We’re loving every minute with the silly boy, Butterscotch.
