Cameron

Adopted NOVEMBER 2019!

Cameron’s Story:

Hubba hubba handsome Cameron was rescued from the SEAACA animal shelter in Downey, CA in September 2019. We wanted to smooch this cutie all over his sweet face. Cameron was 5 or 6 years old, quiet, gentle and super sweet. He had bad skin and ears and some of his teeth were fractured. He was also sneezing a little bit and had a slightly elevated temperature. Knowing that many shelter dogs come down with a nasty pneumonia, we were extra diligent about watching for any early signs of a respiratory infection. He had a dental and neuter surgery done and was given lots of care and love.

Now named Mikey, his new mom loves him so, so much. Mikey likes to lounge on the couch with his sweet new brother, Jax, a 10-year-old Norfolk terrier mix. Having Mikey around keeps Jax acting younger, playing and running, and the two boys love being around one another. Mikey’s mom bought him a nice big comfy dog bed and likes to sit on it with him and Jax so that they can all bond. The family takes lots of long walks through the neighborhood, regularly play in the backyard together, and enjoy beach walks in the mornings before work. Mikey’s mom specifically wanted to rescue a dog who was at least 5 years or older. It makes us so happy when adopters seek out dogs who are a little bit older. These dogs are so full of love and personality without the high energy of a puppy. Mikey is so very happy with his new family, and they are so in love with him!
