Canyon

Adopted JANUARY 2024!

Canyon’s Story:

Cutiepatootie Canyon was rescued from the North Central animal shelter when he was just about 10 weeks of age. In January 2024, he and his six littermates had been left at the shelter in a laundry basket by someone claiming they didn't know who or where the parents were. The shelter immediately reached out to Camp Cocker to ask if we could take them; of course we said yes! Mini schnauzer cockapoo mixes, these precious pups are all so sweet and playful! Canyon was one of the shyer puppies of the group, so we wanted to find him a home with another, confidant dog to help him along.

Now known as Pico, this lucky pup now has two sweet dog siblings, named Pip and Panda! His new brother, Pip, even allowed him a snuggle on his first night in the home and will sometimes play tug-of-war with him. Pico’s adopters are enjoying their new family member and tell us that he’s adapting well to life in Pennsylvania. He had a smooth flight from Los Angeles, CA where the flight attendant allowed him to be on his parents laps so that they could administer regular doses of reassurance. They look forward to sharing outdoor adventures and teaching him to swim in the nearby creek once he is fully vaccinated and has grown a bit bigger.

Puppy Pico enjoys snuggling up on the rug in his dad’s office while he works, and snoozing there after an energetic game of fetch in their backyard. They say he’s the smartest little guy they’ve ever trained, he eats with gusto, and is generally doing GREAT in his new home - becoming more confidant and adventurous by the day! Pico got to experience his first snow and was a big fan! His family tells us he is just delightful, so fun and cheeky but also bright and easy to train. They’ll be starting puppy classes in the Spring.

From Pico’s adopters: “We're so happy to have him home with us :)
