THIS VERY SMART BOY HAS ALREADY LEARNED SIT, STAY, SHAKE, LIE DOWN & OFF - AND HE’S TOTALLY HOUSE-TRAINED TOO! TURN UP THE VOLUME FOR MORE!

WELCOME TO AMERICA DAVID!

Freedom Flyer DAVID is from South Korea. David and his travel partner, Bowie, were rescued from a South Korean shelter by our rescue partners, Korean K9 Rescue, and then flew to America to join Camp Cocker Rescue!

6/21/23 MORE GOOD NEWS UPDATE: David (treated in March for heartworm infection) has just tested NEGATIVE for heartworm!

6/3/23 UPDATE: The latest news on David is that he's very smart & easily trained! He already knows sit, stay, shake, lie down & off. And he's totally house-trained! His foster mom says someone will be very lucky to have him!

  • David is a very handsome buff-colored Cocker Spaniel, estimated* to be about 3-5 years old. He weighs an appropriately slender 18 pounds.

  • He’s sweet, active, silly, energetic & curious. His full tail is always wagging!

  • He loves stuffed animal toys (the whale and the crab are clear favorites)!

  • David loves walks. He’s curious and wants to investigate everything and chase squirrels and cats!

  • A “velcro” dog so far. Follows his person wherever they go in the house. He may experience separation anxiety if left alone - unless there's another dog in the house to keep him company.

  • (See 6/21 update at the top of this page) David tested positive for heartworm in March and was treated on March 15. He will be retested in mid-June to confirm a negative diagnosis. (If he's still testing positive, he'll receive a 2nd round of treatment, which Camp Cocker will sponsor.)

*Please note that any age provided is only an estimate, based on veterinary examination!

David is being cared for in the Los Angeles area.
