Hunter

Adopted JUNE 2022!

Hunter’s Story:

Handsome Hunter was born in the care of Camp Cocker Rescue on March 13, 2022. His mother, Trixie, had been rescued from the SEACCA Shelter in Downey, CA just five days before giving birth to Hunter and his four siblings. Your guess is as good as ours what breed their father was, but the pups were fairly big considering Trixie was a tiny 11 pound terrier. She had a smooth delivery, though, and was a wonderful mommy to Hunter, Amelia, Lola, Barry, and Polly!

Hunter, now named Indy, is very affectionate and seems to love his new home and parents! He has already picked his favorite spot a few stairs up on the landing. Getting down the stairs is a work in progress for this tiny boy, but he’s definitely mastered the way up and his dad says they have to play catch all the way up to the 3rd floor. It’s a good workout for the whole family! Indy likes to play, and sleeps very peacefully. His parents are socializing him and take him on short walks along the paths close to home. He likes to be carried until he's ready for a little trot! Potty training is going well so far and Indy’s been very good at doing it outside. He eats well, too, but likes a little encouragement by being fed a few by hand.

From Hunter’s adopters: “It's been a pleasure and he makes us very happy! We're doing our utmost so he feels the same!”
