Jasper

Adopted JULY 2022!

Jasper’s Story:

This adorable black and white cocker spaniel was rescued from the SEAACA animal shelter in Downey, CA in July 2022. Estimated to be 3-4 years of age, and weighing less than 17 pounds at the time of his rescue, he was incredibly sweet but understandably a little scared at first. Jasper had been picked up as a stray and no one ever came looking for him.

Japser’s adopters changed his name to Charlie and say he quickly began responding to the new name. He did really well on the long drive to his new home, which is in Oregon, and he and his new brother, Brutus, slept next to each other nearly the entire way. They made lots of stops during the long trip, so Charlie got to mark his spots all over California and Oregon. He is a big cuddle bug and loves to snuggle right next to his people. He and Brutus already follow each other around everywhere and love to play chase through the house! Charlie doesn’t seem to care about their cat, Rita, but just looks at her and keeps on going. Rita is still trying to figure out if she likes him, but she has started following him around and is getting comfortable with him. Charlie has the nicest personality and is just a sweet, gentle little man.

From Charlie’s adopters: ”What a great guy he is, we absolutely love him.”
