JENNI HAS BEEN ADOPTED!!!

  • Jenni is a red, mixed-breed, 16 pound cutie, estimated to be about 5-6 years old.

  • Jenni was rescued on Sept 15 from the South Los Angeles Shelter as hit-by-car stray. X-rays revealed her injury to be a fractured femur.

  • Camp Cocker immediately drove Jenni to the VCA WLA for emergent surgery, which took place the following day. Jenni came through with flying colors, and received a Certificate of Bravery for “great courage” during her hospitalization!

  • Jenni is a sweet girl, and is already walking a little bit on her newly repaired leg! She will be spending a few days recovering from her surgery, which will then be followed by physical therapy.

  • UPDATE: Per her surgeon, Jenni will NOT need continuing physical therapy, and she is no longer limited to adoption in Los Angeles. Her adopters will be advised to take her on slow walks to help her build leg strength.

  • Check back for more photos and videos as Jenni continues her healing process.
