Jessica

Adopted MARCH 2019!

Jessica’s Story:

This gorgeous miniature poodle with the red curls is sweet, shy Jessica. She was one of our Freedom Flyers from South Korea in October 2018. She had spent most of her ten years of life living in terrible conditions in the puppy mill industry, so she was very, very timid around people. She needed a patient and understanding forever family to love her.

Jessica (now Jessie, Jessie Jubbies, Jube Jube, cutie…) found the perfect home and she is blossoming! She couldn’t be more loved. Her family shares that she was quite broken when they got her, more broken than they’d realized. They didn’t see her tail for a number of months, and she didn’t run for even more months than that. Her family is so happy when they see her running now!

Tiny Jessica loves food. When she needs to potty, she will just move silently to the door and wait there to go out, but if her family isn’t in the immediate vicinity, she doesn’t always hold it. Keeping her routine the same each day keeps Jessica’s anxiety at bay and minimizes, if not eliminates, potty accident. Her separation anxiety has all but disappeared. She has learned that her mom always come back and never leaves for long. She’ll now just go to sleep and wags her little tail when her mom return. Jessie’s not fully out of her shell, but having another dog in the family has really helped her to build confidence.
