Lanie

Adopted NOVEMBER 2021!

Lanie’s Story:

Lovely Lanie is a young Cocker Spaniel mix who was rescued from South Korea in September 2021. This gorgeous gal flew to America as part of our Freedom Flight program, along with another dog named Harrison. Lanie was a little nervous upon arrival, but has the sweetest temperament and personality. We took Lanie to see a surgeon because of her curved femurs which cause her to walk a little funny. We were informed that Lanie has a healed pelvic fracture that is at least a year old, as well as an old tibia fracture that had also healed. She manages to get around just fine and does not appear painful, so surgery was not advised. Her medical team recommended daily walks and an at-home exercise program designed for Lanie’s needs.

Lanie’s new mom is happy to work with her at home! Lanie is very cooperative. She settled into the home quickly and is doing amazing there. Her mom says that anywhere she goes, Lanie’s the star of the show. She’s so happy and friendly with everyone she meets and loves getting pets. She met another dog in her mom’s office and they were fast friends, running around and playing. She is such a wonderful dog! Her adopter put a little sweater on her and Lanie loved it and did a cute excited dance when it was on. The one thing the pair are working on is obedience training while passing other dogs on the street on leash. We’re confident they’ll work it out!

From Lanie’s adopter: “Lanie is seriously such a little angel. I feel like I honestly can’t imagine my life without her now!”
