LEO HAD BEEN ADOPTED!!!

  • Leo is a handsome Cocker Spaniel, rescued as a stray.

  • Leo is such a sweet soul! This boy clearly loves people so much. He is excited to see visitors and strangers, and make new friends. He even seems to have a little extra dose of fondness for males.

  • He is estimated to be 5 to 6 years old, and has a nice energy level. He loves to play but also loves his naps. He is great on leash, as long as you give him time to get all the sniffs in.

  • Leo is a dream in the car and pleasantly calm when dining al fresco, though he might bark at dogs if they come too close to "his" table.

  • He has been living with a 4-leggged foster sister, but doesn't seem too inclined to romp around with other dogs, so he may be good as an only dog, but also fine with fur siblings!

  • Leo did bark a lot and scratch at the door the first week he was left alone, but he has been doing great since then, and is not so bothered once he understands the routine and that his owners will return. Because of that anticipated adjustment period when he moves to his forever home, a home without shared walls is probably best.

  • He can occasionally get mouthy when playing, so a home with older kids would be preferred as this type of play tends to scare the little ones. But Leo is very gentle!

  • Leo appears to be house trained as he has only had one accident in the house very early on. But of course his new adopters may have different results in a new environment. He is also great with baths!

  • Leo has a slightly cloudy left eye, and may be a candidate for cataract surgery in the future.

  • Leo has been diagnosed with a low grade heart murmur secondary to a mild case of congenital pulmonic stenosis, which is not likely to progress. No treatment is required.

  • Annual rechecks with the cardiologist are recommended.

  • It is almost impossible not to immediately fall in love with this pup, and his soulful eyes! Also, his tail literally never stops wagging which is like a constant "I love you!" from this darling boy. ♥️

  • Leo is in the Los Angeles area
