Luna

Adopted SEPTEMBER 2019!

Luna’s Story:

Camp Cocker Rescue saved this freckle-faced beauty from the Apple Valley animal shelter in late May 2019. Estimated to be only a few years old, Luna had recently been hit by a car and x-rays confirmed multiple fractures of her pelvis and ischium. Because of the location of the fractures, the remedy was not surgical but instead required eight weeks of crate rest and strong pain management to keep her comfortable while she recovered. After a couple months of restricted activity while she healed up, Luna was finally able to have her spay surgery and a dental cleaning done. She then began working hard in physical therapy so that she could be happy, healthy, and ready to find her paw-fect forever home!

Luna’s new mom says she’s an absolute doll. It took some time working on her house-training, but she’s the sweetest, most gentle and loving doggie ever. Luna and her cute cocker sister, Maya, have become very close and love to lounge together. Apparently, whenever Maya comes to their mom for loving and petting, Ms. Luna butts right in cuz she’s an affection hog! Her mom certainly doesn’t mind but is pretty sure Maya does... a little! Because of her previous injuries, Luna has always had a little trouble jumping up on the bed and into the car, so her adopter will help by lifting her up and even built her some custom stairs of her very own.

From Luna’s adopter: “I have to tell you how much she means to us and how loved and loving our lill Luna Moona is. Couldn’t have asked for a kinder more perfect fit to complete our little family of three.”
