Monty’s Story:

Gentle Monty with the wonderful underbite joined Camp Cocker in April 2021 as one of our Freedom Flyers from South Korea. Estimated to be between 3-4 years old, he is a mellow Shih Tzu who loves to cuddle and get pets. Although he was rescued from a huge hoarding situation in South Korea known as Aerinwon where the dogs did not have much human interaction, Monty did not turn out to be as timid as many of the other Aerinwon dogs have been.

Now named Mochi, his new parents tell us that he has been an absolute delight and they are completely obsessed! He is such a good boy and becomes more active and affectionate with each passing day. He has a blast going on walks with his family and meeting new friends. A passerby on the street even remarked to his adopters that he was "such a happy dog" and they felt a surge of pride at hearing that. Mochi is a really good boy at the groomer's, too, and his mom says he feels as soft as a teddy bear. His parents have so much love for him already and can only imagine how their bond will grow. They share that Mochi is the best behaved dog in their obedience training classes and he provides endless joy, love, and entertainment for them. He can’t get enough belly rubs, naps, and couch time sitting right in between them both. They’re even more in love with him than they could have ever imagined!

From Mochi’s adopters: “He's the best addition to our lives and we feel so lucky that he's part of our little family. We feel so lucky so thank you again!”
