Moose’s Story:

Moose joined Camp Cocker in November 2020 as one of our Freedom Flyers from South Korea. This adorable 24 pound Shihtzu was rescued from an animal hoarding situation in Aerinwon, South Korea by a group of animal rescuers there. He is at least eight years old and is a little shy, but very sweet and gentle.

Sadly, a cardiologist has diagnosed Moose with Degenerative Mitrol Valve disease with moderate to severe valve insufficiency, moderate dilation of the left atrium and moderate ventricular dilation, and one side of his heart is slightly enlarged. Based on his current heart condition, his life expectancy is UP to three years. This news was incredibly heartbreaking to us because Moose has already gone through so much just to get his fresh start here in America.

Now named Tucker, we found a very special adopter for him who loves him just the way he is, and she plans to give him the best of care for whatever time he has left. Tucker already loves getting spoiled and chasing balls with his new dog brother, Bernie. He will be on medication twice a day for the rest of his life - along with daily doses of love and affection! We are so excited for this special man to enjoy the rest of his life feeling happy and loved.

From Tucker’s adopter: “He’s a part of our family now and enjoying himself every day!”
