Peaches

Adopted NOVEMBER 2021!

Peaches’ Story:

Weighing less than 16 pounds, this adorable cocker spaniel girl is the perfect lap dog! Peaches joined Camp Cocker as one of our Freedom Flyers in October 2021. Estimated to be between 6-9 years old, she had been living outdoors in South Korea in a cement fortress where she couldn’t see people or anything else. A compassionate woman moved in next door and would hear Peaches crying at night. The new neighbor would turn on the light and talk to Peaches through the window to try to comfort her, and when she asked her neighbor if she wanted to relinquish the dog, she was happy to. Apparently Peaches had belonged to the woman’s daughter who had moved away. Thanks to one of our rescue partner groups in Korea, known as the Cocker Moms, Peaches got a fresh start. She had some skin and ear issues, as well as some old scars on her back, but this girl is so sweet and loving. She absolutely loves people, even strangers.

Now named Brooke, she is doing fantastic in her new home and has adjusted very well to life in America. Her family shares that she is already house-trained and is just the sweetest dog. She now has a 10-year-old Cocker Spaniel sibling named Bailey, in addition to some fun doggy cousins that she gets to have regular playdates with. Her mom shares that Brooke really seems to like wearing sweaters. What a little doll. Fun fact: one of Brooke’s cousins is Camp Cocker alum, Niel!

From Brooke’s adopters: “I can't say thank you enough. She is absolutely perfect!”
