Pixie

Adopted NOVEMBER 2023!

Pixie’s Story:

Perfect Pixie flew to America in November 2023 as part of our Freedom Flight program. She and her travel companion, Scooter, had both been rescued by Хөөрхөн Зулзага ТББ in Mongolia. It is unknown what her history is prior to showing up at their shelter. This particular rescue has so little funding that they cannot afford to build a climate controlled shelter building there. They have over 100 dogs on their property and the best they can offer the dogs they save is an insulated dog house and a chain to contain them. Once Camp Cocker commits, we immediately move our dogs to a climate controlled boarding facility that has indoor/outdoor daycare yards. That’s where Pixie stayed until we were approved by the C.D.C. to fly her to California. The process to bring these dogs to the U.S. is a long one that requires lots of tests, certification, and paperwork, then we have to find someone to fly there to bring the dogs back to California for us. This darling girl was so worth the effort! She’s estimated to be around 2 years old and is full of love and affection.

Now known as Nellie (full name: Nelson Nutter Butter Banana Rose), she easily adjusted to her new home in beautiful San Diego, CA where she and her family enjoy taking long walks together and playing at the park across the street from their house. Pixie is incredibly sweet, very playful, and really loves getting attention! Her parents tells us that she is full of puppy energy and smiles with her always wagging tail. They lovingly describe their furry new family member as “priceless”.

From Pixie’s adopters: “We are so grateful as she adds a great energy to us!
