Polly

Adopted JUNE 2022!

Polly’s Story:

Perfect Polly was born in the care of Camp Cocker Rescue on March 13, 2022. Her mother, Trixie, had been rescued from the SEACCA Shelter in Downey, CA just five days before giving birth to Polly and her four siblings. Your guess is as good as ours what breed their father was, but the pups were fairly big considering Trixie was a tiny 11 pound terrier! She had a smooth delivery, though, and was a wonderful mommy to Polly, Barry, Lola, Amelia, and Hunter. Teeny tiny Polly was the smallest puppy in the litter.

Her adopters had been following Polly on our Facebook page since she was just a few days old and were the first puppy adopters to apply and go through the screening process. They both flew to Los Angeles, CA from Colorado to meet their new baby girl and take her home together.

Polly is adjusting well to her new home and to her new dog brothers, Milo and Phyn. They’ve all started to play as a group, which is fun for their parents to watch. The boys quickly became protective of Polly and watch her everywhere she goes and perk up if she makes a noise. Polly is a little cuddle bug and spends most of the day in her mom’s office with tons of toys to keep her busy. She get excited to see her parents in the mornings and loves to play in the grass outside.

Polly’s adopters had a DNA test done for her and discovered that she is a mix of chihuahua, rat terrier, poodle, pekingese, lhasa apso, american eskimo dog, maltese, and possibly some dachshund, miniature pinscher, and/or australian cattle dog. These results were different than some of her siblings, which means the litter definitely had multiple fathers!
