Reese

Adopted DECEMBER 2023!

Reese’s Story:

Rescued from the Animal Friends of the Valleys shelter in November 2023, this gorgeous girl had never been spayed and had several mammary tumors that needed to be taken care of ASAP. Her right side had more (and larger) masses so the surgeon removed that chain first, in addition to doing her spay surgery. Once Reese healed from her first surgery, she returned to have the entire left chain removed. We were so relieved when both biopsy results came back negative for cancer! Estimated to be around 7-8 years of age, Reese loves people and attention and is the friendliest lady with everyone she meets, including children and babies, cats, and other dogs.

This beauty is doing very well in her new home! She really likes snuggling and being close to her family. She has claimed her spot on a Lazyboy chair and also rotates between a few different dog beds. She enjoys playing with toys and matches the energy of their 3 year old son, and he matches hers. Reese is very interested in human meal time and snack time, but respectfully keeps to herself and stops begging with gentle audio cues of “down” or “no”. She loooves her neighborhood walks, as well as her breakfasts/dinners plus mid day treats, but her parents think her favorite pastime is receiving belly rubs.

From Reese’s adopters: “She is becoming a part of our family quickly.
