Rizzo

Adopted JANUARY 2024!

Rizzo’s Story:

Handsome baby Rizzo was about 10 weeks of age when he and his six littermates were rescued from the North Central animal shelter. In January 2024, they’d been dropped off there in a laundry basket by someone claiming they didn't know who or where the parents were. The shelter immediately reached out to Camp Cocker to ask if we could take them; of course we said yes! We did a DNA test on Rizzo and discovered that the precious pups are a mix of miniature schnauzer, poodle, chihuahua, yorkshire terrier and cocker spaniel. As the tallest puppy in the litter, Rizzo is certainly tall, dark, and handsome!

Now known as Ron, this little man seems to have settled into his new home pretty quickly. He usually sleeps through the night and his parents tell us that he already knows how to sit and fetch, so they think he might be a genius, haha! They had both grown up with cocker spaniels and have always been partial to them. It will be interesting to see if Ron does, in fact, turn out to be a cocker mix! They love dogs and are excited they have a home with a yard for their new puppy to enjoy. Ron will soon be attending puppy classes, enjoying hikes with his family, and already has play dates planned with their best friends’ rescue doggy up the street. We are so excited for him!

From Ron’s adopter’s: “He’s just the sweetest boy and we love him already.
