Simba

Adopted DECEMBER 2022!

Simba’s Story:

Rescued in December 2022, this adorable cocker spaniel had been found at the San Bernardino animal shelter by a fellow rescuer from Cavalier Rescue. Simba was scheduled to be euthanized the following day, so she reached out to us for help. The shelter had labeled Simba as aggressive, as he couldn't be picked up without being reactive, but the videos showed him to be an otherwise friendly boy. Cavalier Rescue found a nice foster home for Simba to stay in while we screened potential adopters. He was going to need someone patient, who had experience with the cocker breed, just in case he did exhibit some aggression in his new home.

Now named Chance, his parents tell us that he is doing quite well. He has improved in terms of being petted, but they still struggle to get a harness on him sometimes. He has strong teeth and has chewed through two of them! Chance seems comfortable and happy with his moms and they adore their new little buddy! They even had a personalized toy box made for him and say he enjoys removing all the toys from it and playing with them. Chance especially likes snuggling with his adopters and giving them sweet kisses. He is definitely a lap dog!
