Simon

Adopted JANUARY 2024!

Simon’s Story:

Sweet Simon was approximately 3-5 years old when he was rescued from South Korea. Our rescue partners known as Cocker Spaniel Friends (formerly the Cocker Moms) had found him at a shelter in Gimpo. He had a total of seven masses removed from his body after his rescue. He also had a dental done needing several extractions. Simon is a very sweet cocker spaniel with a mellow personality. He’s super friendly with everyone he meets and his favorite thing to do is cuddle! He really likes to lay his head on your lap and snooze there. Simon sometimes acts quite itchy and licks at his paws due to allergies, which he is now being treated for, and his foster parents told us although he wasn’t completely house-trained he did try to let them know when he needed to go out.

Simon’s new mom shares that he is already soo popular in the neighborhood. He is such a happy, fun-loving boy! He really enjoys taking lots of long walks with her, sniffing and marking plants and learning his way around the neighborhood, after which the two spend time cuddling together on the bed. They’re a perfect pair and both are early risers. Simon absolutely loves playing with squeaky balls, too, fetching them for his mom and running around in the yard. He’s a quick learner, knows how to “sit” on command, and has had no potty accidents in his new home at all! Although he was initially a bit timid after his rescue, Simon is wagging his tail more and more all the time and is really coming into himself. He smiles a lot and seems happy with his new home, mommy, doggies, neighbors, et al! They are currently working on some separation anxiety; although, Simon is rarely home alone. He is so happy, loves many walks to the beach, parks, stores and even the vet! He and his mom could not be happier together.

From Simon’s adopter: “SO IN LOVE… I am so happy to have my boy and am going to do all to ensure a long, happy, quality life for him.
