He is not quite ready for adoption, but we hope to have him available soon!
Teebo is an estimated 3-5 year old male male Corgi Mix
He is approximately 22 pounds, and has recently from South Korea!
This little guy is good with other dogs.
Teebo is timid with people, and it may take him a little time to warm up. He’s also a bit confused by walking on a leash. Maybe another dog in the household to show him the way?
We've recently learned that Teebo is a flight risk - see that heart-wrenching story in the video below! When he's scared or confused he'll probably try to make a run for it - so it's critical that extra precautions are taken with Teebo to keep him safe! He is currently receiving some training to help relieve his anxiety.
When Teebo is ready for adoption, an extra secure living space will be essential. A home with a yard will probably be best, but it must be super-secure! Places where he can jump over, squeeze through, or dig under would present opportunities for Teebo that we don't want to chance. He's not yet comfortable with walking on a leash, but he might take his cues from a confident dog sibling, if you happen to have one! He will need extra security when walking, or any time he is out of his safe environment, as well - double leashing with a collar & harness will be needed.
We hope that once Teebo is ready to be adopted, he will find a home where he can begin to relax and feel comfortable with his people, but his adopters will need to be ever-vigilant about managing his potential for flight risk.
Teebo is currently being fostered in Northern California - and is receiving some training to help with his anxiety.
