Adopted MARCH 2020!

Willow’s Story:

Willow joined Camp Cocker Rescue at 6 months of age as part of our Freedom Flight Rescue program. This sweet, shy little Papillon mix made the long journey from South Korea to Los Angeles, CA in March 2020, and she was not up for adoption long!

Her new parents named her Ridley and are having so much fun with their furry new family member! She loves hiking, going to the dog park, digging for shells at the beach, and while she is a good swimmer she doesn't particularly enjoy it. Ridley is super intelligent, so her parents like to set up little food puzzles for her. She loves to gaze out of their windows at the San Francisco Bay and is starting to warm up quicker to meeting new people.

Her mom and dad constantly get asked what breed she is, to which they proudly report that Embark has informed them Ridley is a "purebred Korean village dog." That made us laugh, so we did some research! While most modern breeds are less than 200 years old, this breed is reportedly a direct descendant of the first domesticated dogs, which originated at least 15,000 years ago!

From Ridley’s parents: “We are so grateful to the Camp Cocker team for bringing Ridley into our life. She is an incredibly smart little girl and has been such a blessing to have around during these crazy times.”
