Woobin

Adopted DECEMBER 2022!

Woobin’s Story:

Rescued in December 2022, this 19 pound cutie flew here from South Korea as part of our Freedom Flight program. He was a young dog, maybe two or three years old. Woobin was a little nervous upon arrival, but he absolutely loves other dogs, especially running and playing with them! He began demonstrating some circling behavior, especially when excited, that we suspected was neurological. He would circle to the right over and over again with a slight head tilt and side to side eye movement. We took Woobin to see a neurologist, who said his MRI and spinal tap results, as well as his thyroid panel, all looked completely normal. He was diagnosed with idiopathic vestibular disease, which they’d expect to slowly improve over the next few weeks to months. No specific treatment was indicated and they told us it would not affect his ability to be adopted out to a great home.

Woobin is an even-keeled boy who doesn't bark, likes to give kisses, is crate trained and mostly potty trained, he even gets along really well with cats! He doesn't love loud noises and can be a bit timid in new situations, but he adjusts quickly. Woobin has brought a lot of happiness into his new home! He and his new kitty sister, Jolene, have become very good friends and always share their mom’s lap together. Although it has improved a little, Woobin still does his circular motions when he gets excited, but his adopters say it doesn’t bother them if it doesn’t bother him. He really loves to cuddle with them on the couch and they enjoy him get so excited when they feed him or give him treats. He’s such a love bug.

From Woobin’s adopters: ”He has got to be an Angel sent from Heaven. We all love him!
