Dougal’s Story

Rescue Date: January 2, 2024

Origin: Los Angeles Carson Shelter

Dougal was a very senior dog, frail with pancreatitis and pneumonia, and significantly underweight when we rescued him from the LA Carson Shelter.

Due to his subsequent diagnosis of laryngeal paralysis, and daily risk of aspiration pneumonia, Dougal is now in Hospice Care.

Other than his cough, produced by the laryngeal paralysis, he has a pretty comfortable life right now, due to the quality of care that he’s been receiving. Dougal’s current foster will continue to provide comfort care, and we will continue to ask for donations to help make this final chapter of his life as comfortable as possible.

Thank you, Camp Cocker Village! ❤️
