Wednesday

Wednesday was relinquished by her owners on May 11, 2025. She’s a beautiful young tri-color Cocker Spaniel, born in January of 2024, and weighing 18 pounds when rescued.

In her foster home environment, she’s affectionate, cuddly, dog-friendly, friendly with household members (and guests, where she can be introduced off-leash.)

Wednesday spent most of her life outdoors on a patio with her male sibling, and has had very little socialization. As a result she is leash-reactive, on walks and when initially meeting new people & new dogs. Wednesday is much more comfortable when meeting new dogs & people when she’s off-leash in a securely fenced environment

Setting up Wednesday for success should start with a quiet yard with a solid fence to create a safe “bubble” where she can get plenty of backyard exercise off-leash – and then start working with a trainer to help her with confidence building in public, so that she can learn to enjoy walks.

Ideal for Wednesday will be a home with a backyard, no adjoining walls with neighbors, another confident dog in her home, and an adopter who will be 100% committed to force-free training that will help her be more confident & comfortable in her new life.
