Bobby’s Story
Rescue Date: December 21, 2025
Origin: Mongolia (via Cocker Friends Korea)
Meet Bobby! This lovely male Cocker Spaniel was rescued in Mongolia through a local rescue group, then transferred to Korea under the Camp Cocker international rescue partnership. He’ll soon be on his way to America on December 21, 2025.
During his stay in Korea, Bobby has demonstrated strong adaptability and an affectionate nature toward both humans and other dogs. He currently resides in a loving foster home and continues to thrive physically and emotionally.
Bobby is described by his foster family as a “gentle, mellow, and sweet boy.” He’s affectionate without being demanding, enjoys physical touch, and follows his foster family around the home. He gets along very well with other dogs in the household and interacts gently with people of all ages.
• Temperament: Calm, affectionate, non-reactive
• Activity level: Moderate; enjoys walks and outdoor time
• Socialization: Excellent with both humans and dogs
• Training:
o House-trained (indoor and outdoor)
o Comfortable on leash; no pulling or reactivity
o Crate-trained and car rides well
• Energy level: Balanced — playful outdoors, relaxed indoors
During the recent Cocker Friends Autumn Picnic in October, Bobby participated confidently, greeting new people and dogs calmly. He was especially happy to reunite with other Mongolian rescues and received warm affection from many visitors.
Bobby has been diagnosed with early-stage glaucoma in his left eye, and has responded well to prescribed ophthalmic medication. Follow-up examinations confirmed that intraocular pressure remains stable, and vision is well maintained. No additional treatment is currently required; only regular monitoring and eye drops for maintenance.
Overall, Bobby is considered medically stable and healthy, requiring only continued ophthalmic management.
Cocker Friends Korea describe Bobby as, “a remarkable young cocker — gentle, resilient, and endlessly kind. He embodies the very spirit of Camp Cocker’s cross-border mission: “Compassion Has No Borders.” Cocker Friends Korea is deeply grateful for the continued collaboration and support that made Bobby’s rescue and recovery possible.
