Penelope’s Story
Rescue Date: January 15, 2026
Origin: Orange County Shelter
Penelope is a very sweet Cocker Spaniel, rescued from the Orange County shelter as a stray. With significant eye issues, and painful eyes, she was determined to be blind. She’s had double eye enucleation, and is now feeling so much better!
Shelter staff described Penelope as a good sport when shots were given, and she was a very good girl during the bath that Cathy gave her on rescue day. Penelope’s foster mom advises us that she does struggle with potty training.
