Mia’s Story

Rescue Date: June 17, 2026

Origin: North Central Los Angeles Shelter

What we know about Mia:  She’s a beautiful young girl who looks like a mix of Cocker Spaniel and long-haired Dachshund!

Mia was quite thin and underweight when she came to us at 8 pounds, but she now weighs 14.9 pounds. Yay, Mia!!

Mia’s foster tells us that she’s shy in new situations out in the world, and barks at men she doesn’t know. She has a loud deep bark, and would probably do best in a home without adjoining walls.

Mia has a mellow-moderate energy level. She appears to be  more of a homebody, and not necessarily a social dog.

Stay tuned for new details, photos, and further updates as we get them.
