APPLICATION UPDATE:  Our staff has become overwhelmed with the number of puppy applications that we’ve received for Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup! As of Saturday, July 11, we will no longer be accepting applications as we begin the process of reviewing the apps that we’ve received so far.  

If you applied *before* July 11, rest assured that your application will be thoroughly reviewed for consideration.  Decisions on which applicants will be eligible for the next steps (starting with phone interviews and home safety checks) will be made throughout the next week or two. We will notify all who applied with the status of these three precious pups once decisions have been made.

Meet Buttercup! She’s a completely black Cocker girl – a sweet, cuddly and 100% adorable puppy who was owner relinquished with two of her littermates.

On the day of their rescue (July 2) they were 9.5 weeks old, and weighed ~7 pounds. They should be ready for adoption some time in August. Adoption applications are being accepted and we will begin reviewing them as we get closer to readying them for adoption.

We’re now taking additional steps necessary to prevent puppies from getting pregnant during their first heat cycle at 6 months of age:

Spay surgery is mandatory by five months of age, and we require that once an applicant is approved for adoption, they have both a spay appointment scheduled, and a spay deposit made to Camp Cocker. We will call in the amount of your spay deposit to your vet on the day of the spay surgery.

Adopters will be under a foster-to-adopt agreement until the spay surgery has been completed.
