Blake’s Story:

Rescued in April 2020, this little angel had been picked up as a stray, along with his sister, Jewel and their mom, April. The little family was found by some good samaritans by the side of a busy roadway hiding under a tree from the rain. When no one claimed them from the shelter, Camp Cocker was able to take them into our care and start looking for loving adopters. The puppies, who were estimated to be about 10 weeks of age at the time, were diagnosed with Giardia but were easily treated and found to be otherwise healthy. Blake is a fun, lovable little puppy!

Now named Winston, he loves playing tug-of-war, keep away, and chase with his new doggy big brother, Oliver, and he even gets along great with his kitty sisters, Ruthie and Itti! He is a sweet, funny, cuddly boy and his mom says that his playful exuberance brings a smile to everyone he meets. Even when he’s naughty (normal puppy antics like chewing clothes she didn’t think he could reach and shredding a book left on the sofa), he just melts her heart. A DNA test revealed that Winston is mostly Pug and Chihuahua!

From Winston’s mom: “Winston is a joy and I’m so happy to be his human.”
