Jewel’s Story:

Rescued in April 2020, this sweet puppy had been picked up as a stray, along with her brother, Blake and her mom, April. The little family was spotted by some good samaritans, hiding under a tree from the rain at the side of a busy roadway. When no one claimed them from the shelter, Camp Cocker was able to take them into our care and start looking for loving adopters. The puppies were diagnosed with Giardia but were easily treated and found to be otherwise healthy. Jewel was very much a puppy; high energy and mouthy. She loved giving kisses, cuddling, and playing with other dogs!

Her mom and dad have named her Mia and are madly in love. She has grown to be 16 lbs, but is still all lanky legs. She loves playing fetch and chasing and being chased by her doggy brother, Panda, who is a 7-year-old Maltipoo. She also loves snuggling with her humans and anyone else within paw's length. They have yet to meet anyone who doesn't love her! She is ninja-like in sneaking behind people and giving countless kisses.

Mia has fun adventures in the backyard and loves to take long walks exploring the neighborhood. What she loves the most, though, is running full-speed around the house and peppering these sprints with zoomies on all of her beds. Her family is very proud of her and she is thrilled with all of the love and attention she receives. She's a smart, funny, inquisitive girl, always up to interacting with other puppies and their humans!

From Mia’s adopters: “Our little girl is pure sunshine and a super lovebug!”
