Hero’s Story

Origin: Owner Relinquish
Hero was relinquished to us by his owners. Although his family loved him with all of their hearts, their life circumstances prevented them from being able to manage his healthcare needs. The owners truly loved them and struggled to do their best for this sweet dog.
Hero is sweet with people he knows, but having missed out on socialization in the real world, he’s not used to walks, meeting strangers, going to the vet, groomer, or anywhere in public! He also has some separation anxiety that manifests as prolonged barking, and will require him to be in a home without shared walls.
Hero has led a very sheltered life so far and because he has been co-dependent on his littermates, his own confidence has been stunted. He will do best in a home with another confident dog so he can have someone to model how a dog handles real world experiences.
It’s amazing to see how much happier and less-stressed littermates can become once they have a chance to fly on their own. We are so excited for Hero to experience this freedom and to find his self-assuredness.
