Kewpie

His name is KEWPIE and he is a sweet, friendly, little Maltipoo mix! He’s currently about 1 year old as of February 2025, and he weighs 16 pounds.

A good samaritan witnessed him being hit by a car and took him to a Veterinary ER hospital in Los Angeles. The facility immediately called Camp Cocker, known to rescue hit-by-car dogs, and we agreed to take him into our rescue and provide the medical care he needed.

Attempts were made to save his left (rear) leg, but ultimately the correct medical decision was to amputate.

So now Kewpie is a sweet, friendly, playful little 3-legged tripod – ready for adoption! ❤️❤️❤️

Kewpie is so friendly with people and other dogs, and would likely do well in a home with kids who have good doggie manners. He would love nothing more than to snuggle with you!

Kewpie is crate-trained and sleeps quietly in his crate at night. He is housebroken with consistency – and even as a puppy it’s been pretty easy to meet his exercise needs.
