Tabitha’s Story
Rescue Date: September 21, 2019
Origin: Los Angeles East Valley Shelter
Camp Cocker Rescue received an urgent email from the Los Angeles East Valley Shelter about this spaniel mix puppy who had been turned in to the shelter, very sick with parvo. We immediately committed to her and rushed her to a 24/7 animal hospital where she was given all of the modern medical treatment available for parvo: fluids, bloodwork, antibiotics & other medications, and around the clock monitoring and care by the vet and staff.
The following morning, the hospital informed us that Tabitha’s condition was getting worse and the prognosis was very poor. The general consensus was that euthanasia would be the most humane thing we could do for Tabitha – to allow her to be free of her suffering, and cross the Rainbow Bridge. She was so tiny at just 3.4 lbs, and had struggled long enough! 😥💔🌈
